SHANA TREON
From the moment she could hold an object in her hand, Shana Treon has been drawing and painting. Some of her fondest memories have come from the times that she has created art and it seems as though she was destined to become an artist. Throughout her life, art has been the one thing that has been able to consume and intrigue her. In a profession where it is so difficult to succeed, Shana has always approached art and its creation as a challenge.
Shana does not focus on a specific medium, but rather, she focuses on her love and desire to create and use her hands, and experiment with different textures, dimensions, and mediums. Shana creates and conceptualizes to evoke a sense of deep thought and question from her art’s viewers, forcing them to view her works multiple times, while gaining a different perspective each time.
Shana received her B.A. in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design from Lehigh University in 2004 and an M.A. in Teaching in Visual Arts from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 2007. Shana currently resides in Philadelphia, PA and is pursuing multiple art shows and contests.
